This limited edition medallion was released in 2015 for remembrance of the centenary since Gallipoli. Some 50,000 men served at Gallipoli with 8,709 giving their lives. New Zealand also lost one fifth of their force.
This limited edition is one of only 10,000 proof quality medallions set in a period brass finish pressed tin case with an inset vial of sands from the Gallipoli landing beach. It comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. The medallion artwork features "The Landing" by noted military artist Drew Harrison.
The tin is inspired by the Christmas Gift Tins that were send by Princess Mary to troops in 1914.
