The Self-Loading Pistol 9 millimetre Mark 3 is a short-recoil operated and magazine-fed weapon able to produce semi-automatic fire.
The weapon is fitted with fixed open sights and the magazine contains 13 rounds.
The weapon is capable of quick instinctive fire at very short-range targets (less than 5 metres) and accurate rapid fire at ranges up to 25 metres. The pistol can be fitted with a lanyard and/or a torch mount. Soldiers can engage targets at longer ranges with accurate fire.
